Workshop Session 1: The Myths and Realities of Leading a Diverse Staff
As a white pastor in an urban context, God has graced me with an extremely diverse staff with no true majority culture. Building and leading a church staff of African-Americans, Asians and Caucasians has taught me a few lessons on leading in the midst of diversity. In this workshop we'll have an open and honest conversation about the differences that race and ethnicity bring and what often gets overlooked when hiring a diverse staff. Come prepared to be challenged and maybe even offended.
Time: Tuesday, 2:30-3:30pm
