SESSIONS

Workshop Session 3: Engaging Outreach in the Urban Context
Outreach cannot be done the way we did it 20 years ago. Culture has changed and people's view of the church has changed in many cities. This workshop will share some creative ideas about consistent outreach and large events that can engage real needs and grab the attention of your community.
Time: Wednesday, 1:00 – 2:00pm
Location: Education Building (E1) - Room 317

Workshop Session 4: Becoming/Balancing Multi-Ethnic, Multi-Generational, Multi-Class in the Urban Context
Urban areas are becoming more and more diverse. Urban churches cannot effectively live out the words of Jesus where he says "Love your neighbor as you love yourselves" unless they become more diverse. This workshop will share some of Crossover Church's journey and what they have learned and what they're currently learning on this journey of being a diverse urban church.
Time: Wednesday, 2:30 – 3:30pm
Location: Education Building (E1) - Room 317

Workshop Session 5: Transitioning Your Church to Living Color
How can you effectively transition an existing church to more authentically reflect its community and meet existing needs? More specifically, how can you do this when resources are scarce and/or in urban centers? Join Tommy to learn how to reset and in the process, how your church can not only survive but thrive in an increasingly diverse society.
Time: Thursday, 8:45 – 9:45am
Location: Faith Hall - Room 350
