Brandon is the lead pastor at Long Beach Christian Fellowship and a co-founder of The Bonhoeffer Project. Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, he studied at Wheaton College (IL), Jerusalem University College, Brandeis University, and The Oxford Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies. He worked as a professional storyteller before joining a transformational training organization and moving to SoCal in 2006, becoming a pastor three years later. Over the course of seven years of pastoring, he became convinced that his work — and the work of the church — is to become fully committed to discipleship and making disciple-makers. As such, he gives his time and energy to asking the question, "How are people actually transformed to live and love like Jesus?" Brandon and his wife, Rebecca, have two children, Charlotte and Leif, whom Brandon will soon indoctrinate into the glories of SEC football, Cardinals baseball, and Simon and Garfunkel.

Workshop Session 2: Inspiration and Information Are Not Enough for Change
Inspiration and information are strong actors in change, but they are supporting actors. We will talk about the lead actor and why without it, you get activity without results.

Location: AP Buildings - AP 3

Workshop Session 3: Discipleship, Closed Systems, and Why They Don't Reproduce
Far too many discipleship efforts are focused on self, on intimacy with God, getting closer to Jesus and making us better people. All of these efforts are well meaning, but they are not the life into which Christ has called us.
Time: Wednesday, 1:00 – 2:00pm
Location: AP Buildings - AP 3

Workshop Session 4: The Discipleship Gospel
What was the gospel that Jesus taught? We will break down the gospel of the kingdom and explain why it is vital to the fulfillment of the Great Commission.
Time: Wednesday, 2:30 – 3:30pm
Location: AP Buildings - AP 3

Workshop Session 5: You Can't Delegate Discipleship
