Bruce Wesley is the founding pastor of Clear Creek Community Church. Since launching in the fall of 1993, the church has grown to an average weekly attendance of more than 5,000 people at four campuses, with a fifth launching in fall of 2017. Bruce serves as Senior Pastor, giving oversight to strategic leadership and spiritual formation, and he serves as one of the primary preachers. He holds an M.Div. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a D.Min. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Bruce is the founder, President and Executive Board Member of the Houston Church Planting Network, a network of 30+ networks working together to strengthen church planters to reach every man, woman and child in Greater Houston. In 2014, HCPN started a paid residency for church planters led by key pastors from across the city. Bruce also serves on the Executive Board of Acts 29, a diverse, global network of church-planting churches.

Bruce and Susan invest in three key areas for community transformation: planting churches, strengthening marriages and raising up leaders for the church of tomorrow. Bruce loves the mountains, fly-fishing and hiking trails.


Workshop Session 3: Developing Collaborative Residencies to Inspire a City Movement
The Houston Church Planting Network is a network of networks committed to strengthening church planters to reach every man, woman and child in greater Houston. Their residency program has been key in building collaboration for the city. Hear from Bruce Wesley and Chad Clarkson as they share how they are developing collaborative residencies across denominational, network, and ethnic lines to help fuel a church planting movement in the most diverse city in the country.

Workshop Session 4: A Multiplication Strategy for the Local Church
Clear Creek Community Church, located in Houston, has a strong commitment and track record for planting churches in the US and overseas. In this workshop, Bruce Wesley and Chad Clarkson will unpack their church planting and missions strategy developed from Acts 1:8. They will share a both/and strategy that involves multisite planting, traditional church planting, collaborative church planting, and global missions that result in new churches being planted abroad.
