Melyssa Cordero is a Proud Puerto Rican who currently serves as the Director of Minority Leadership Development for the Underground Network in Tampa, FL.  She is passionate about seeing the Church demonstrate the power of the Gospel through racially reconciled communities and has also served as the Worship leader for the Underground Church for the past 11 years.

Melyssa also worked as a campus minister with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at the University of South Florida for 8 and 1/2 years where she helped plant many LaFe (Latino Fellowship) chapters around the state of Florida in order to reach, train and develop Latino leaders for the sake of JESUS.

She and her husband, Tom, have been married for almost 14 years and have 3 amazing boys (Leo-11, Elliot-7, Gabriel-6) and 1 incredible daughter (Beatriz-19), whom they adopted almost 3 years ago. They have committed their lives to living in the inner city of Tampa for the last 13 years to work alongside and learn from the poor and marginalized in their city. Melyssa loves singing, dancing, eating pizza and every kind of dessert imaginable and spending lots of time laughing with family and friends!

Workshop Session 3: Journey of Multi-Ethnicity
We believe that the church of Jesus Christ was meant to demonstrate the power of the gospel through reconciliation, unity, and the beauty of a multi-ethnic community. We do not just admire multi-ethnic communities, we purpose to become one. This seminar will explore how to practically work towards true multi-ethnicity in your church community.
