Myron is the founder and lead pastor of Mission Church in Omaha. At the age 18, he faced a life sentence in prison for his life of gang banging, drugs, and crime. Myron surrendered his life to the Lord Jesus and while leaving the courtroom he heard God whisper, 'I'm going to get you out of prison to plant churches.'" Through a series of miracles, the prison doors opened for him after 8 years.

His call is to saturate every U.S. inner city with new churches. Myron received his B.A. in Biblical Studies and Business Leadership at Grace University. Alongside leading the churches, Myron operates three small businesses. He trains leaders to plant businesses while planting a church.

SESSIONS

PRE-CONFERENCE: Together: Pursuing the Great Collaboration – Hosted by NewThing Network
We understand the great commission; and we believe in the great commandment; but we have forgotten Jesus' challenge of the great collaboration in John 17 that we are to do the mission "Together!" Jesus offers us a vision of a "Together" church that prioritizes relationships (with God, family, team and network) as the way to be and do God's mission. This includes an in-depth look at the value of participating in a church planting network and how to start a small church planting network. Full details for this pre-con here.
Day / Time: Monday 1:00pm – 5:00pm and Tuesday 8:00am – 11:30am
Location: Faith Hall - Room 301A

Workshop Session 2: Freelance Church Planting in Both Wealth and Poverty
Hear the testimony of Myron Pierce who came out of jail to meet Ron Dotzler and planted a church while running a business and discipling freelance pastors in the context of a welfare/crime-ridden culture. Also, you will hear from Greg Wigfield who planted a church while maintaining and building a successful insurance agency (employing 43 people) while being scorned by former friends because "you're not all in if you keep your business."
Time: Wednesday, 8:45 – 9:45am
Location: Faith Hall - Room 350
Speakers: Myron Pierce and Greg Wigfield

Networking Lunch: Lifting the Load: A Fresh Look at Money and Bivocational/Freelance Pastorates — Hosted by Expoential
Grab your lunch and join us! We want to put bivocational/freelance pastors and planters on a career track instead of settling for a less than satisfactory job. Driving a school bus so you can pastor a church is a bad option. A job with a career path or a privately-owned business can liberate finances for a planter and both their sending and receiving churches. The choice between a "temporary job" and a career is crucial for the pastor in a small community or with limited gifts that too often turn the temporary job into a long-term disappointment. Panel: Ralph Moore, Myron Pierce, Greg Wigfield, and Peyton Jones.
Day/Time: Wednesday, March 4 / 12:30pm – 2:00pm
Location: Faith Hall - Room 350

Workshop Session 4: Easy-Entry Business Startups for Freelance Church Planters
Myron will describe six easy-to-start business opportunities he's used with his disciples as they move into church planting. He'll also provide a handout describing how to get started with each one.
Time: Thursday, 8:45 – 9:45am
Location: Faith Hall - Room 350
