Sue moved to Naperville in 1988 with her husband Dave to help plant COMMUNITY. In the first year of the church, Sue brought home the bacon while Dave and the staff team worked to get the new church off to a successful start. When kids came along, Sue quit her teaching position and stayed home. Sue led small groups, reproduced leaders, and coached small group leaders, and worked in volunteer staff roles long before a paid staff position was available. Sue officially joined the Yellow Box staff in 2008 as Associate Kids' City Director and then became an Associate Small Groups Director two years later. Sue loves to see God use small groups to breathe hope into people's lives, connect them to the truth about His love and grace, and to create friendships. Sue has been married to Dave for 30 years and together they have three fabulous kids, Amy, Josh, and Caleb.

SESSIONS

PRE-CONFERENCE: Together: Pursuing the Great Collaboration – Hosted by NewThing Network
We understand the great commission; and we believe in the great commandment; but we have forgotten Jesus' challenge of the great collaboration in John 17 that we are to do the mission "Together!" Jesus offers us a vision of a "Together" church that prioritizes relationships (with God, family, team and network) as the way to be and do God's mission. This includes an in-depth look at the value of participating in a church planting network and how to start a small church planting network. Full details for this pre-con here.
Day / Time: Monday 1:00pm – 5:00pm and Tuesday 8:00am – 11:30am
