Sessions

Pre Conference
Title: How to Create a Missional Movement
Much has been written on the theory on moving the church towards more of a movement and less of an institution. But as with all things, there can be a gap between what we see on paper and experience in practice. This pre-conference, led my Mike Breen and the 3DM team, is on the practice of starting and sustaining a missional movement in your local ministry context, whether you're a church planter, at a large church or anything in between.
Time: Monday 1:00-5:00pm & Tuesday 9:00 - noon
Location: Henry Chapel

Workshop Session 1
Title: How to Lead a Missional Movement
Leading a church and leading a movement require different skill-sets and most pastors are not equipped to lead a movement. This workshop will explore the different leadership skills necessary to lead a movement and how you can step more into movement and away from an institution-only approach.
Time: Wednesday 8:30-9:30am
Location: Faith Hall 372

Workshop Session 2
Title: How to Launch Missional Communities If you're interested in learning the nuts-and-bolts of launching, sustaining, growing and multiplying Missional Communities, this is the workshop for you. While it will start with theology and theory, the goal is for people to walk away feeling more equipped in doing Missional Communities in real life. The workshop will be led by Jo Saxton, who has been involved in the launching of more than 10,000 Missional Communities.
Time: Wednesday 1:00-2:00pm
Location: Worship Center WC 124

Workshop Session 4
Title: Missional Moms
Women are one of the most vital components of a sustainable missional movement. In this workshop we will explore the foundational role of women within any missional movement and talk the nuts-and-bolts, how-to of being a missionary woman with so many various hats to wear at once (wife, mother, employee, missionary, etc).
Time: Thursday 8:30-9:30am
Location: Faith Hall 301GH

After Hours
Title: How to turn half-hearted volunteers into a mobilized movemental force
You don't get a missional movement without missional leader. The problem, however, is that most of us don't have leaders in our churches, we have volunteers or managers. This two hour After-Hours session will walk through how you can shape the people into your community to be the missional force God shaped them to be.
Pizza will be served.
Time: Wednesday, April 25, 6:00pm
Location: AP Building 2
