Session 1: Nuts and Bolts Proverbs for Planting
Some seminars offer innovations hot out of the oven. Others deliver fresh research from the smartest people on the planet. We don't. We have collected a panel of
stumblers and bumblers with PhD's in "learning the hard way" from the School of Hard Knocks. For one hour, we will share a boat-load of practical proverbs that have
been tested and proven in the fires of church planting for decades in dozens of new churches. Our goal: 5 years from now, you will still be using at least one
proverb from our time together.
Time: Tuesday, 2:30 – 3:30pm
Location: Faith Hall - Room 349
Speakers: Brett Andrews and Phil Ling
Session 2: Where to Start: The Launch Plan
The Launch Plan for a church plant is a clear and concise narrative that answers a number of basic questions including: Why you are planting? Whom you
are trying to reach? Where will the church be located? Who will do it with you? How much it will cost? How will it be funded? What kind of church it will be?
How will you gather a core group? What are the critical success factors? This Launch Planning workshop will walk you through the Six Steps of Planning that
will result in a compelling Launch Plan for the new church.
Time: Wednesday, 8:45 – 9:45am
Location: Faith Hall - Room 349
Speaker: Dale Spaulding
Session 3: Proven Practices for Developing a Launch Team from Scratch
If God's calling you to plant a church it's likely that He's calling others to join you. You can't do it alone, and unless you're being sent by a
church that's gifting you a large group of people, you'll need to figure out how to build a launch team from scratch. Most church planters find this
task much harder than anticipated. It's difficult work, so don't wing it. Attend Proven Practices for Developing a Launch Team from Scratch to learn
practical and proven best practices on how to recruit launch team members and forge them into a united team that pursues your new church's vision together.
Time: Wednesday, 2:30 – 3:30pm
Location: Faith Hall - Room 349
Speaker: Sean Cronin
Session 4: Get Your 501c3 Faster: Save Time and Money on Legal Paperwork
Get plain-language helps and hacks to un-complicate the incorporation and 501c3 paperwork for your church plant. This workshop will also touch on bylaws,
postal permits, annual requirements and how to open a church checking account. Paperwork doesn't have to be hard! Come learn from an experienced practitioner
and take the fear out of filing your church legal paperwork.
Time: Thursday, 8:45 – 9:45am
Location: Faith Hall - Room 349
Speaker: Patrick Bradley
