Mike Seaman is one of the founders and leaders of Trinity Life Church in downtown Toronto. In 2013, Mike and Missy moved to Toronto from the States with their two daughters, without any previously-existing relationships in Toronto, to live out their kingdom calling. The expressions of this calling have been manifested through the inception of two organizations: Trinity Life — a multi-ethnic, mixed socio-economic, DNA-multiplying, decentralized, hybrid church and The New Common — a community-driven, asset-based, collaborative-focused, domain-engaging initiative that created a third space to work locally and globally. Mike also serves as GlocalNet's representative in Canada for church multiplication, multifaith engagement, and nation engagement.

Mike is a published author in two fields — global business (Promotion in Differing Cultural Contexts) and theology (Illumination and Interpretation: The Holy Spirit's Role in Hermeneutics). He is a graduate of University of North Carolina at Wilmington (B.S. Business Administration) and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div. Advanced Biblical Studies; Ph.D. Biblical Theology).

Mike and his family live in the core of Toronto, one of the most multicultural and influential cities in the world, that owns an MLS championship, NHL championships, MLB championships, and now an NBA championship!

SESSIONS

PRE-CONFERENCE: Planting Churches for the Public Square — Hosted by GlocalNet
We don’t simply need more churches. We need a different kind of church for a brand new world. GlocalNet is a family of churches that exists to mobilize church members to engage society and create flourishing communities in our ever-changing world. With a globally-minded approach, we don’t focus on the Sunday attendance numbers; instead, we focus on influencing our cities, multiplying by planting more churches & engaging globally. We train church planters to plant churches in the public square that transform communities and engage nations.
